Another ass kicking...

So I spent the day in Columbia yesterday fencing in the Southeast Sectional Championship. Yay. Bad news first: I only won one bout in my pool, and I lost my first DE. Good news: I got points in all my pool bouts (at least 2 of them), and I lost one of the 5 -4. In my DE I was losing 10-9 to the #10 seed. Unfortunately, she came back after the break and scored 5 points in a row. Oh well....I held my own I guess. I definitely learned some things. On to the NEXT ass kicking I suppose.

Tonight, we go to lovely Morganton, NC for the grand opening of Blake's new fencing school. It seems kind of "out in the middle of nowhere", but I really think it's going to do well. I'm definitely excited to see it as well as meet some of the people I've heard Blake talking about. Hopefully, the whole thing will go well.
