Eye Swear!

What a day I had yesterday!

I told my boss I would be a coupld minutes late in the morning because I had an 8 AM appointment with my eye surgeon. "Oh my goodness, what's wrong?" she says. I told her nothing, it's no big deal, just a check up to make sure my vision is still stable from my surgery. No problem, right? WRONG.

I went in for my "5 minute" apponitment, only to discover that I have a tear in my retina which is starting to leak fluid into someplace in my eye that it shouldn't be. Ugh! Why me?

So off to the retinal specialist I go. My "5 minute" apponitment turned into the whole day! The retina guy says he wants to do some minor laser surgery to fix the tear before it gets worse, and he wants to do it right now. So needless to say, I called in sick for the day (thank god my boss was so understanding), and had someone laser my eye. Joy.

Let me just tell you, it's not real comfortable. It doens't hurt while they are doing it, but the recovery isn't real fun. My eye is still pretty scratchy, but feels much better today than yesterday. Why does it always have to be me?

Anyway, it's a darn good thing I don't have a fencing tournament until next weekend, because I'm supposed to "take it easy" until Monday. There goes the plan for my workout routine.
