The nerve!

So here I am, very innocently and professionally trying to finish out my last 2 weeks at the old job. But do you think my boss would be kind and professional and realize that people leave a job for one of 2 reasons: 1) they are unhappy there. 2) They get a promotion or more money or something along those lines. In my case, it's both. So here I am thinking that my little chat with the boss man went so well last week, and he acted like a good guy, and everything was going to go smoothly and be just fine. I was apparently wrong.

Every Monday morning, the drivers have a meeting at 7:30 AM to discuss whatever crap is going on. My boss made the announcement to all the boys that I had out in my notice and would be leaving them. Then, he went on to say that they were going to get someone into my position who was not so "excitable" and "loud." This really pissed me off because he keeps telling me that my personality and exuberance are the reasons he hired me in the first place!!! What an ass. I hate it when people say things in anger that they don't mean. I guess these last 2 weeks won't be as smooth and easy as I thought. Grrrrr.......

Moving on...
The weekend was pretty good. Went out on Saturday and had my hair done (girly squeals!), then met a friend for dinner and comedy club. Very cool. Mother's Day was really lovely. My husband an son woke me up with breakfast in bed and some roses from one of my bushes outside. Later on, they took me out to lunch. It was very nice.
