To the Point....

So sleepy...

So....yeah. I had a fairly uneventful weekend.

Saturday, I did my normal grocery shopping and around the house thingy. That evening, I met "The Notorious E" for dinner. It was supposed to be our once a month outting, but we haven't seen each other in almost three months. We're both so crazy busy most of the time, and slackers the rest of the time, that we don't get together nearly as often as we should. After that, I hung out with Lisa and Tom. We had some coffee, and then went to the sex toy store. I know, it sounds weird for the three of us to be going there, but we always have so much fun. People phisically leave when we come in because we're fairly load and obnoxious. Things like "Oh my god, look at the size of that butt plug!!!!" can always be heard from our group. Everyone there just wants to shop in peace. I was particularly looking for something to add to my sister's edible penis collection for her upcoming birthday, but the only possibilities I found were the gummy sperm and the "lollicock". Definite possibilities, but nothing I thought she couldn't live without. It was also great to see the looks I was given when I answered the obligatory, "Can I help you find anything?", with, "Yes, I'm looking for edible penises." :) Anyway, it was a good time.

Sunday was the grand opening of the new Gastonia school/store. Yay. It was nice and all, but really, I was bored. I did get to see my girlfriend Meg though. She's married to my husband's business partner, and she works funky hours, so I don't get to hang out with her nearly as often as I'd like to. We get along very well, and I think there is no one else in the world that understands my husband situation like her, because she's in the same proverbial boat. We have the same gripes about our marriages, so we keep threatening (jokingly), that we're going to take Brandon and run away to my mom's house in Florida. The beach, the pool, the free babysitting......who can beat it?

So anyway, it's back to the grind at work today, and for some reason, I've been having lot's of trouble staying awake. I'm sure the fact that I'm not very busy is probably part of it, but still. Tonight is "girl's night in." It's just me and Cassie (the great dane), because the boys fence in the far off land of Morganton until late. Girl Power! (Well one of us is spayed, but she still counts. :))
