wooohoooo!

So I had an incredibly unexpected dat off today. We've had some major rain here the past couple of days, and the flooding has been pretty plentiful. So I practically swam to work this morning, getting there about ten minutes late instead of my normal 15 minutes early, and I walk into the building, only to discover that the power is out. Now I work in a pretty large, multiple company office building, so I was pretty surprised that Duke Power wasn't on top of it. The area has a bunch of office buildings and a bunch of aprtment complexes, but alas, no power. So my boss sent me home, and told me that if it came back on, she'd call me back in later. Knowing Duke, I had a feeling I would be getting the day off. Yay! So I fought my way back up river to my house, played with my son for a while, and had lunch with a friend. Then I went to work out. All in all, a pretty good day. :)
